About Cambodia
Cambodia is primarily a Buddhist country with less than 1% of the population being Christian.
The first Christian missionaries arrived in 1920.
Between 1975 and 1979, the Khmer Rouge genocide resulted in the deaths of 1.5-3 million Cambodians.
After the genocide, the entire society needed to be rebuilt.
More than half of the population is under the age of 30, making Cambodia a very young country both in terms of age and spirituality.
MTW has been in Cambodia since 2007, roughly 17 years.
